Silk Vision specialists gather in the new LASIK care center

The team at Silk Vision & Surgical Center are proud to announce the official opening of the Silk Vision LASIK Center! The new center will be located at our Annandale office, but patients can schedule consultations at any of the Silk Vision offices if travel to Annandale is difficult for them. To help kick things off, we’re offering 10% off LASIK treatment for the first 50 patients to visit our center AND we’re also giving $50 Visa gift cards to any of our patients who refer their friends to Silk Vision for their LASIK treatment.

The center features cutting edge technology including the WaveLight® Refractive Suite, the fastest refractive surgery platform available in the U.S.. This allows Silk Vision to dramatically enhance the precision, reliability, and safety of the laser vision correction procedure. We also offer Contoura Vision, a system that allows Dr. Silk to provide a fully personalized LASIK experience by providing measurements and data specific to the patient’s eyes, which are then used to skillfully map the LASIK procedure.

Our team is looking forward to being able to provide our patients with premier LASIK care right from our own Northern Virginia office.

What is LASIK?

LASIK, or "laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis," is a specialized procedure to correct common vision problems, including nearsightedness (myopia), farsightedness (hyperopia), astigmatism, and presbyopia. The procedure reshapes the cornea, allowing the light that enters the eye to be properly focused on the retina for clearer vision. LASIK is the most popular laser eye surgery to correct common vision problems. After LASIK, you could see with 20/20 vision. The procedure is short, the recovery is quick, and the results are almost immediate.

LASIK at Silk Vision Gives Back

Silk Vision LASIK patients can not only improve their own vision by undergoing treatment at our center, but they can feel good knowing they are contributing to improving the vision of others through the Himalayan Cataract Project. This project provides surgical treatment to those living with ocular diseases such as cataracts that have caused preventable blindness. For every LASIK procedure we provide our patients, Silk Vision gives support to the Himalayan Cataract Project.

If you’re interested in LASIK, but aren’t sure where to go or if it’s right for you, book a consultation with our LASIK specialist here or call our office to schedule.
